In the waters of Finland, a terrifying creature awaits. Known as the Iku-Turso, this malevolent sea monster has struck fear into the hearts of mankind for nearly 200 years. Inspiring not only fear, the Iku-Turso’s legend is so great that it is also featured in epic poetry, known as The Kalevala, dating all the way back to 1835. Now this creature returns thanks to an ominous illustration by Matthew Jorde on the Eclipse Wave! First released in 2023 for the OTB Open, you can now help support Silva Saarinen’s disc golf efforts with the only release of it since! Try your very own and discover why the Wave is one of the best selling drivers in MVP history!
The Wave
The Wave is best described as a longer Inertia, with a stable-understable flight profile and a responsiveness that makes it useful across the power spectrum. The Wave is the type of driver that players may bag in two or more weights for shot variety. For the most powerful throws, long gliding turnovers and hyzerflip gut shots are possible with the Wave. For average powered throws the Wave will simply extend a variety of lines, from anhyzers to hyzerflips to headwind-assisted turnovers.

Eclipse Plastic
Eclipse plastic is a blend of MVP's Proton plastic with a new color glow blend! Hit these discs with some light and they will carry a bright glow to keep the game alive after dark. Streamline Eclipse Proton plastic is a highly durable blend for a consistent flight round after round.
The Science of Gyro
MVP's GYRO® Overmold Technology is a design that is produced through a two-step molding process that allows the outer ring to be made with a heavier material. The process of transferring mass away from the axis of rotation increases the disc’s moment of inertia at parabolic proportions.
Since linear and angular momentum and aerodynamics act upon each other simultaneously, an enhanced gyroscopic effect will improve all aspects of disc flight. Increased angular momentum of a disc in flight will allow the disc to stay on its rotational axis for a longer period of time, which means that its aerodynamic properties will be better exhibited for a longer period of time. When a thrower uses our discs, they will be able to achieve straighter, longer, and more accurate results.
