This OTB Open release of the Rhythm keeps the mold's easy-to-throw nature front and center: an understable fairway driver with a low, comfortable rim that's just as friendly for newer players learning to drive as it is for power arms looking to shape a line. It glides well and turns smoothly, making hyzer-flips and gentle turnovers feel natural rather than forced. It's molded in Particle Proton Soft plastic, a flexible, high-grip blend with particle flakes scattered through it that catch the light and glow under a UV light.

The Rhythm

The Axiom Rhythm is an understable, easy-to-throw 7-speed fairway driver designed for maximum glide and effortless line-shaping. Featuring a comfortable, low-profile rim, it fits naturally into hands of all sizes, making it an ideal choice for both backhand throwers and smooth forehand touch shots. In flight, it offers a gentle, workable high-speed turn that helps newer or lower-arm-speed players achieve easy straight distance, while bigger arms can rely on it for buttery hyzer-flips, sweeping turnovers, and carved fairway lines through tight woods.

Firm Soft

The MVP and Axiom Particle Proton Soft plastic blend combines the legendary durability of their candy-colored Proton plastic with an ultra-gummy, flexible feel. The standout feature here is the embedded "Particle" flakes that scatter throughout the translucent core, catching the light and glowing under UV rays for a really unique, multi-dimensional look. On the course, the added flexibility of the Soft blend gives you a significantly grippier, high-traction feel in the hand while absorbing impact beautifully on the ground—making it a perfect premium choice for locking down cold-weather grip, minimizing bad skips on touch approaches, and holding a slightly more overstable, dependable flight path.

The OTB Champions Cup

In 2025, the PDGA Champions Cup will be held at Swenson Park in Stockton, California. This venue is well-known to disc golfers as the site of the OTB Open. However, to avoid a conflict with the DGPT's policy against athletes competing in multiple points-earning events on the same course within a season, the PDGA Champions Cup will replace the OTB Open on the 2025 DGPT schedule.

OTB partners with MVP Disc Sports to feature several exclusive releases with new molds, limited edition artwork, and discs in special plastic blends.
