This Champions Cup release from Ripper Studios, called Sonic Eruption, celebrates one of Axiom's most popular midranges. The Pyro holds a commanding, stable finish through strong winds and powerful throws without turning off target. It's molded in Prism Proton Soft, which pairs the grip and feel of standard Proton with a more durable rim and some extra flex for grip in the cold.

The Pyro

Take control of your mid-range game with the Axiom Discs Pyro, a reliable, overstable workhorse built to handle power and cut through heavy winds. Featuring Axiom’s signature GYRO Overmold technology, the Pyro offers a comfortable, flat-top profile that feels great for both backhand and forehand grips. It holds strong against high-torque throws before finishing with a pronounced, dependable fade, making it the ideal disc for pinpoint accuracy, flex lines, and sharp skip shots.

The OTB Champions Cup

In 2025, the PDGA Champions Cup will be held at Swenson Park in Stockton, California. This venue is well-known to disc golfers as the site of the OTB Open. However, to avoid a conflict with the DGPT's policy against athletes competing in multiple points-earning events on the same course within a season, the PDGA Champions Cup will replace the OTB Open on the 2025 DGPT schedule.

OTB partners with MVP Disc Sports to feature several exclusive releases with new molds, limited edition artwork, and discs in special plastic blends.
